Chicago-based contractor Western Utility is proud to announce that our very own Bill Sanchez, director of business development, was recently appointed as the Donor Committee Chairperson for the Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Sanchez was recently elected to the Board of Trustees for the organization, which mobilizes people and resources in an effort to end this disease that destroys the central nervous system forever.
“We are privileged to have Bill head up our Donor Committee,” said Greater Illinois Chapter President Holly Messick. “Bill’s networks, business acumen and motivation will help us make great strides toward our mission of a world free of MS,” she added. “On behalf of our chapter, we thank him for his work thus far and wish him much success in his new role.”
“I am excited to join the Donor Committee,” Sanchez shared. “My work over the past 20 years has put me in contact with people and companies who can help in our fight, so this committee is where I feel I can have the greatest impact,” he added. “I have seen the devastating effects of this disease and am honored to add to my duties with the Society.”
Sanchez is a construction industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the business. Last year alone, through our comprehensive nationwide network of services, the Society devoted $122.2 million to connect more than one million individuals to the people, information and resources they need. To move closer to a world free of MS, the Society also invested $54 million to support more than 380 new and ongoing research projects around the world.
