Western Utility Team to Get Dirty to Benefit MS

On Saturday, September 10, 2016, a team of 10 employees and their families will get downright dirty when they participate in a charity event to benefit Multiple Sclerosis (MS) called MS Muck Fest. The event – a 5k run through 14 obstacles for fun and team building – will be held at the Lake County Fairgrounds at 1060 E. Peterson Rd. in Grayslake, Ill. The first wave/start time is at 9:00 a.m., and then every 20 minutes throughout the day.

MFMS_2016_homepage_images_obstacle_004MuckFest® MS is built for laughs and muddy from the get-go! Teams run in the same wave so they can experience all the muddy shenanigans, epic spills and thrills together. Refreshments will be provided after the event. Spectators are free of charge and children can play in the free Lil’ Muckers play area.

“We want to end MS. Even though the event is built for laughs from start to finish, we’re on a serious mission to advance cutting-edge research and support the life-changing work of the National MS Society,” said Bill Sanchez, director of business development, who was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Greater MFMS_2016_homepage_images_obstacle_005Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. “I am excited that Western Utility will have a team to participate in this fun family event for such a great cause,” he added.
