Western Utility attended its first show as a member of the MEA, or Midwest Energy Association, which serves the people who deliver electricity and natural gas to homes and businesses.
“We had a very successful show,” said Bill Sanchez, Director of Business Development, Western Utility. “We were able to deepen our relationships with quality and field operations reps from NICOR, Ameren and NIPSCO,” he added. “We will definitely plan on attending the show again next year.” Pictured above is Western’s tradeshow booth.
The event, entitled Gas Operations Technical & Leadership Summit, was held held in Rochester, MN, August 11-13, 2015. The summit focused on front-line operations personnel: gas crews, foremen, supervisors, managers and directors.
Several classroom sessions covered a wide variety of topics selected by industry-led committees of energy operations personnel. Classroom presenters were industry-experts selected for their experience and knowledge.
MEA furthers operational excellence in energy delivery by providing resources that continually improve members’ proficiency, efficiency and safety. More information about the organization can be found at http://www.midwestenergy.org/.
